| person.biography | [eng]Alberto Martin-Ortega is a Computer Engineer, with a master’s degree on Computer Engineering and Telecommunications, specializing in advanced control architectures, and PhD on Computer Engineering and Telecommunications, with a special industrial mention; all of them at the Autonomous University of Madrid. His research activity is mainly focused on the study of the reliability of digital circuits in space applications and on proposing solutions to improve said reliability. He has participated on over 10 space missions and projects, comprising ESA’s FOTON-M3, OPTOS satellite, MEDA-RDS (NASA Perseverance), MicroMED on-board ExoMars Surface Platform (Kazachok) and HERA. He is currently the PI of MiLi, which is a Horizon Europe granted project to build a Miniaturized Lidar (MiLi) for future Mars atmospheric research. [esp] Es Doctor en Ingeniería Informática y de Telecomunicaciones por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Su campo de investigación se centra en la instrumentación de exploración planetaria, así como en observación de la Tierra desde satélites, habiendo participado en numerosas misiones espaciales. Su trabajo se centra en el desarrollo de instrumentación para la exploración planetaria y la observación de la Tierra. Específicamente, investiga el diseño de computadores espaciales para misiones en órbita terrestre. | |
