dc.description.abstract | The scattering behavior and simulation of cavities are still being studied by several research groups. In this paper, a simplified jet-engine model has been manufactured and measured under different configurations, such as straight or curved blades, different fixed blades position, and free motion capability at adjustable speed. These measurements can be used to analyze the response of cavities as well as radar cross-section reference data for validating existing and future prediction codes. | es |
dc.description.sponsorship | The authors would like to thank the members of the NATO SET-085 group on radar signature prediction of cavities on air craft, vehicles, and ships for their helpful discussions. Also, thanks to J. A. Aguilar Rosado and General Workshop at INTA for their help in the design and fabrication of the mockups. This work was supported by INTA under the Electronic Warfare and Non-Cooperative Target Identification project. | es |
